This was a book that I needed to write. I loved Anthony Bourdain's "Kitchen Confidential" but I always felt that the famous chef's tell-all books are slightly tainted by the fact that the authors are already famous. Before you even pick up the books to read, you already have a media-filled mindset of who the chef is and many times their lives are NOT what the real chef life is all about. I felt that I had the need to tell the chef life as it really is...from the point-of-view of an unknown, "regular" chef, hence the title, "Chef Who?" This book is an enjoyable read that is intended to bring forth the whole gamut of emotions. As I have often said, by the time you have finished the book you should have passed through disbelief, anger, happiness, sadness, felt pain, have a feeling of compassion and who knows what else. It is meant to tease and I think it hit the mark.
